Transforming The Redhurst

The Redhurst Hotel in Giffnock was first opened in 1967 by Reo Stakis. In 2013, it was purchased by the Manorview group, who specialise in the conversion of boutique hotels.

In 2020, a transformation programme began at the hotel. The building was completely renovated inside and out to restore The Redhurst to superior quality and ensure that the venue could be enjoyed by people near and far.

The new restaurant, The Bird & Bell was opened and a terrace area was added to the front of the building to help locals enjoy al fresco food and drinks. 

The hotel’s two function suites, The Clarkston and The Grand Ballroom host parties, celebrations, conferences and weddings, with 17 bedrooms on the first floor to accommodate guests. 

Some of the team at The Redhurst have been with the hotel through its transformation - with some having worked in the venue for over 30 years.
